Finding Balance in Nature’s Grid
The Slow Day
Nature operates at its own pace, which is often slower than the fast-paced world we live in. However, this doesn’t mean that nature is slow. It simply means that it respects its own processes. In a society that values speed and efficiency, embracing slowness has become a form of rebellion. At Dongarmatha, we believe that slowing down allows us to observe the world with more tenderness, whether it’s in our personal lives, work, or relationships.
The Beauty of Slowing Down
The Dongarmatha stay is inspired by the beauty and tranquillity of nature. The concept of slowing down and appreciating the natural world is evident in the design and atmosphere of the stay. Nature itself teaches us the value of patience, as seen in the slow growth of trees, the formation of stalactites, and the gradual erosion of mountains. The intricate ecosystems of coral reefs and the metamorphosis of caterpillars into butterflies occur over extended periods of time. Even the growth rings of trees offer insights into the passing of years. The Dongarmatha stay encourages guests to embrace the slowness of nature and appreciate the beauty that can only be found through patience and time.

Why Nothing is Fast Here
In a world that values speed and excess, our Dongamatha family takes a different approach. We believe in slowing down and simplifying. We recognize that we already have everything we need, and we don’t need to constantly accumulate more. Instead of chasing after material possessions, we focus on the basics and find contentment in simplicity. We know that excess consumption only leads to more clutter and dissatisfaction, and we choose to live differently. By offering a better welcome with less, we hope to inspire others to embrace a slower, more intentional way of life.
While constructing the Eco-stay, we have tried to conserve natural resources by adopting renewable construction material such as Bamboo and minimum use of steel and cement.
Living in an environment, enjoying what is offered.
